OPTIONAL BROWSER CONTEXT · EARLY ACCESS

Your chosen tab.
Context for InterviewOS.

Give InterviewOS context from a page you choose. This release reads supported coding tasks in Chrome or Edge: the task statement and current editor source, collected locally for the desktop app.

Skip this if you do not need webpage context. Normal interview listening and Screen or Paste context work without the extension.

Early access · Extension 0.1.2 · Requires InterviewOS 0.1.92+ on macOS

Install from this ZIP for now.

The extension is not yet published in the Chrome Web Store or Microsoft Edge Add-ons. You will extract the ZIP and use your browser’s Load unpacked option. Keep the extracted folder in place. Browser connection on Windows is not yet available; it needs a matching desktop update.

  1. Update the desktop app

Install InterviewOS 0.1.92 or newer on macOS, open it, and sign in. Older desktop versions do not include this browser connection.

    Desktop downloads
  2. Extract the extension ZIP

Download the ZIP above and extract it into a permanent folder. You will select the extracted folder containing manifest.json, rather than the ZIP file.

  3. Load it in Chrome or Edge

In Chrome, enter chrome://extensions in the address bar. In Edge, enter edge://extensions. Turn on Developer mode, choose Load unpacked, and select the extracted folder. Pin InterviewOS from your browser’s extensions menu.

    Check the extension ID

The extension ID shown by your browser should be kjpjllndncjjfnkjmkfkhonhdecikebi. If it differs, download and extract the package again before pairing.

  4. Pair before screen sharing

In InterviewOS, open Settings → Browser connection. Click Enable browser connection, then Pair a browser profile. In your browser’s extensions manager, open InterviewOS Details → Extension options. Click Pair this browser profile on that setup page. Compare the code in both windows and click Codes match — approve pairing in InterviewOS within two minutes. Pair each browser profile separately.

  5. Connect the chosen coding tab

Open your supported LeetCode or HackerRank task and click the InterviewOS extension icon. It connects that tab without opening a popup or adding controls to the webpage. In Live Interview → Coding context, choose Browser. Status and optional context review stay in InterviewOS. Click Solve when you want an AI answer. If you enable Coding mode, admitted coding questions can also request answers.

Pairing, connecting, and refreshing use no credits. AI answers use your account’s available credits.

  6. Stay in control

Editor changes refresh the connected context locally. Use Refresh for a new read, or Disconnect to stop reading the tab. After navigation or a browser or desktop restart, click the extension icon on the chosen task again. Reopening does not reconnect a tab automatically.

Reading and refresh do not open browser prompts. Connection errors stay in InterviewOS or the setup page; setup is never opened automatically.

Check what the page exposes.

Current readers target LeetCode problem pages and public HackerRank challenges. Website layouts and editor access can vary; check the app’s coverage status for your actual task.

Private HackerRank assessments remain Partial. Hidden test cases, inaccessible editors, and unsupported layouts are excluded. A Partial or Unavailable status means the app cannot establish complete context.

Use only where the practice or assessment rules permit assistance.

Other work pages, finance tools, and Excel on the web do not yet have a reader in this release.

One tab, chosen by you.

Reading starts when you click the extension icon on the task. The extension does not collect browser history, cookies, credentials, hidden test cases, or unrelated tabs. It does not submit or execute your code.

The extension adds no banners, buttons, or notifications to the task page. Your browser’s own extension icon and permission interfaces can still be visible.

Task statements and editor source are kept in memory for the connection. AI actions send the relevant context to InterviewOS’s managed AI service. A pairing credential is saved locally for your browser profile.

Connection not ready?

Keep the matching desktop app open and enable Browser connection in Settings. If your browser cannot reach it, click Repair in Settings. After pairing, open a supported task and click the extension icon again. Pairing and removal controls are in the manually opened Extension options page. Your browser or organisation may restrict manually installed extensions.

To remove access, use Unpair in InterviewOS and Forget this profile pairing in the extension, or remove the extension from your browser.
