No. Every answer goes through an evidence-grounded engine that draws only from your own CV and stories. When a question isn't supported by your materials, you get an honest, clearly-flagged answer instead of a fabricated one.
The desktop app is local-first: your CV, stories, and transcripts are stored on your machine in a local database, and API keys are encrypted at rest. For the live copilot we run a managed proxy so your personal key is never required and your spend is capped — only the minimum needed to answer a question is sent.
Each plan includes a monthly credit allowance, and you can top up any time. Usage debits credits as you go, with a hard stop at zero — so a long interview can never run up an unbounded bill. You always see your remaining balance.
No. On both Windows and macOS the app windows are excluded from screen capture and recording — whether you're sharing a single window or your whole desktop, viewers see whatever is behind it. On Windows they're also kept off the taskbar and Alt-Tab. (This protects against compositor-level capture, not a camera pointed at your screen.)
New accounts get one full trial interview of up to 60 minutes plus signup credits, so you can experience the live copilot end to end before subscribing. Trial limits are configurable and shown in your account.
The desktop copilot runs on Windows 10 (2004+) / 11 and on macOS 11 or newer — one universal download covers both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. On Windows, system-audio capture works out of the box; on macOS it needs a free virtual audio driver (BlackHole), which the app walks you through. The web app — for billing, your account, and prep — works in any modern browser.
