Terms of Service

1. The Service

InterviewOS is an AI-assisted interview preparation and real-time interview-assistance product. The desktop application runs locally and can listen to interview audio, transcribe it, and generate concise answers grounded in materials you provide. Some features rely on a managed cloud proxy that calls third-party AI providers on your behalf.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

3. Acceptable use

Your use of the Service is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. In summary, you agree that you will not:

• Use the Service to deceive an employer, proctor, or examiner where assistance is prohibited, or to violate the rules of any assessment, certification, or interview you have agreed to.
• Misrepresent your qualifications or submit fabricated experience. The Service is designed to ground answers in your own materials and to flag unsupported claims; you must not attempt to defeat those safeguards.
• Reverse engineer, resell, or abuse the Service or its credit system, or attempt to exceed your plan’s limits.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

4. Subscriptions, credits & billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on the recurring schedule shown at checkout. For purchases processed by Dodo Payments, Dodo acts as the merchant of record and handles applicable sales tax, VAT and receipts. Where Stripe checkout is offered, Stripe processes the payment for InterviewOS; it is not the merchant of record. Your billing page identifies the provider managing your purchase. Existing Dodo subscriptions remain with Dodo unless a separate migration is explicitly agreed. Each plan includes the credit allowance shown at checkout; interview time, AI actions and model usage debit credits and hard-stops at zero. You may purchase additional credits. Credits have no cash value and, except as required by law, are non-refundable and do not roll over unless stated for your plan.

• Trial. The trial allowance, activation payment and end condition are shown before checkout and in your account. The current Stripe trial is described in section 4a below.
• Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated charges. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Cancellation. You may cancel anytime; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Past-due / failed payments. If payment fails, paid features may be locked until the balance is resolved.

4a. Introductory credits and optional automatic conversion

The current signup or checkout screen states the introductory credit allowance and whether a saved payment method is required. Where the 20-credit Stripe trial is offered, you choose a paid plan and pay a $1 USD activation charge, which is automatically refunded in full to the original payment method. The trial starts only after the full refund is confirmed. Bank posting may take longer. This is an actual refundable payment, not an authorization hold or a guarantee that a later subscription payment will succeed. Credits are consumed by interview time and AI actions; 20 credits does not guarantee 20 minutes of interviewing.

Automatic conversion requires your separate, explicit agreement to the selected amount, currency, billing interval and tax treatment. If you agree, the trial ends when all 20 credits are used or seven days after successful activation, whichever comes first. The selected plan is charged then unless automatic conversion was canceled, followed by recurring renewal. The deadline and balance are shown in Billing. You may cancel automatic conversion before the trial ends, or explicitly choose Subscribe now to start the paid plan earlier. Paid credits become available only after payment succeeds; a bank may require additional confirmation. Adding or replacing a payment method does not itself restart a trial or re-enable canceled automatic conversion. A legacy free signup grant does not, by itself, authorize any charge.

5. Your content

You retain all rights to the materials you provide (such as your CV, stories, and job descriptions) and to outputs generated for you. You grant InterviewOS a limited license to process your content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. 6. AI output disclaimer

AI-generated answers and analyses may be inaccurate or incomplete. The Service is an aid, not a guarantee of any outcome. You are solely responsible for what you say and submit in any interview or assessment, and for ensuring assistance is permitted. InterviewOS makes no warranty that the Service will help you obtain any job or result.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by InterviewOS and protected by law. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service as permitted.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, InterviewOS will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to comply with law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
